At the very beginning of the Autumnal season, I posted a picture of my auburn manicure on my Instagram account.
A follower asked me to make a tutorial of it, as it was a bit more elaborated than a simple coat of nail polish. I didn´t think think too seriously about it, as I have little experience on the tutorial-art-land. However, I have been asked repetedly since then, so I finally decided to give it a chance.
I hope you will find it helpful!
First remarkable thing about this tutorial is my choice of products.
Although I appreciate high end brands, I like to give a chance to small or more modest companies now and then.
For this manicure I used Gabrini´s Multivitamin Deep Chocolate, their Base coat, and a random off brand metallic red, (any metallic red will make it, so choose whatever you fancy).
Please, remember you will need to let every layer to dry up before you apply the next one.
Step one: apply a coat of your metallic red WITHOUT any base coat underneath.
You are wearing several layers, so base coat is not required at this point.
Make sure your paint is even, as this will affect the final result.
Step two: now it is time for a bit of top coat.
Applying the product now will add some iridescent undertones to the final look, as well as providing a better base for next coat.
Step three: Apply a final thin coat of deep chocolate/brown and let it dry.
As the last layer is covering a thick and heavy amount of varnish, it can take a few minutes. Try to be patient and careful at this point,

Well, that was it! A little and not too complicated tutorial for my first time.
I truly hope you found it of some help!
So tell me darlings, what new tutorials have you been trying lately?
Look at you wearing burgundy, both the sweater and the nail polish - that's the first time I've seen that :)
ResponderEliminarAs a matter of fact, I do love burgundy and crimson. Nevertheless, I always find it hard when it comes to find pretty clothing on those tones. Make up is much more easier, though, and that´s the reasn why most of the times my lips and nails are red coloures ;)
EliminarThey are beautiful shades and the fit you superbly.
EliminarAw, thank you. That's very nice :)
EliminarWhat a beautiful colour! I used to have nailpolish that colour and now you make me long for it!
ResponderEliminarI had a bad time trying to look for the perfect shade, so I thought it was easier to start making it myself.
EliminarWhat a wonderful shade! :D I wich I could wear nailpolish, but I'm not allowed at work.
ResponderEliminarOh, that´s too bad Lesthis. Well, I suppose you can wear nail varnish on your days off and holidays?
EliminarI rarely have many days in a row free so mostly I'm too lazy then xD
EliminarOh, I understand then. Sometimes you need to prioritize, specially if you don´t have that much free time.
EliminarThanks for the tutorial. It was really helpful. The topcoat layer must be the trick to give the colour the real depth. I need to buy some burgundy nailpolish :-)
ResponderEliminarMy pleasure! The last coat is indeed the one giving all the consistence. I hope you give it a try :)
