How should I your true love know From another one?

I told you about the Celtic roots of my people many times.
Therefore, it won´t be a total surprise if I say that, even nowadays, some fellow countrymen are still getting married by the ancient pagan rite. The custom dictates that weddings must be celebrated on Lughnasadh, and we respect this old belief.

Following the tradition, my friends Ana and David joined the multiple ceremony last weekend.
So I had the rare privilege of documenting the whole experience as a photographer, which made feel really honoured.
It was one of the most special occasions ever.
I had the chance of trying archery, eating lots of traditional food cooked on a bonfire under a huge canopy and drinking mead, as well as wearing a gorgeous customized gown mildly inspired by the
House Tyrrell of Highgarden  (thanks mum, you´re simply the best! ♥).
It was very pretty to witness how two of my long-term friends decided to unite their lifes on this very romantic way, attaching their hands with a red ribbon under the moon and stars, all their beloved people around in such a romantic location.

At the end of the night I was given the bride´s bouquet, so who knows about next year?

Now you have the oportunity of joining this beautiful event at Sophistique Noir.
Let the world know about the most precious moments of your life!

    1. The funny thing about the sewing projects I plan with my mum is that, at the beginning, we never know what´s going to be like. We just let our creativity to outflow, and that´s it. Most of the times the result is totally shocking and much better than our initial expectations. And that´s the beauty of it!

In relation to the ceremony itself, it was very surprising. At the end of the night I was dying to get married by the same rite ♥

  4. It's so wonderful when a couple celebrates their nuptials in a way that is deeply meaningful to them, whether it is heartening back to ancient traditions or doing something completely unique. It's so much more beautiful than just following the book! Your dress is lovely, and the photos make you look like an angel! I can only imagine how stunning the whole affair was!

Thank you so much for sharing this moment as part of the September theme!

    1. I am very fond of weddings when they are original and represent the personality of the couple. Nothing worst than a cheesy, impersonal and swanky ceremony.

Thank you very much for your comments about my look in the pictures, that was so sweet from you! ♥ Of course, it was all on charge of The Gentle One again. He knows how to make me beautiful at all times :)

  5. These photos look very Pre-Raphaelite! Beautiful! I really want to get a portrait done in Julia Margaret Cameron's style one day!

It sounds like a beautiful and meaningful event! It is great when people's weddings can be so true to their beliefs!

    1. I totally agree with you. I don´t like those typical huge weddings in which everything is just perfectly calculated as they all lack of personality. Where´s the magic then?
