I am finally back home after a very exciting (and also exhausting) weekend.
There are lots of good memories as well as tons of pictures, but those need some time to be processed, so I thought I could start telling you about the trip by showing my shopping haul.
Last time I visited Camden Market was 2010.
Can you imagine it? Since then I´ve added lots of interesting items to my dark-aethetic oriented wardrobe, however there´s something special about shopping in Camden. I suppose it has something to do with the titillation you feel when you jump from one shop to the next one, hoping to find the perfect bargain.
So, on Sunday afternoon I headed the market quite content because this time my wallet was not THAT thin and ´cause I knew that, as long as Goth is not fashionable to the big public anymore, I would probably be able to find some great deals on prices.
Dark Side was an obligatory stop on the way.
I spent some time snooping around, until I found a proper present for The Gentle One (sorry, that´s not despicted here in this ocassion) plus the first bargain: a lovely Hell Bunny dress.
I´ve
been craving for one of those for a couple of years now, but I couldn´t
find a pattern I really liked. Nevertheless, I was luckier now and as
soon as I saw this piece I thought "Ey, you, lovely thing! You´re going
home with me right now!".
Well, there were bats on it, how could I help myself? ♥
(In between, there will be an outfit post featuring this beauty sooner than you expect).
Of course the next station for me was the famous Burleska shop at the Stables Market.
I´ve been in love with this shop for ages, and for me is pilgrimate place where I can literally spend my weekly salary (it actually happened a couple of times back in 2010).
I am glad to say I could find a sales period for small sizes! That automatically meant me trying half a dozen of corsets and buying these two gorgeous (and extremely different styles) pieces.

Once I visited my favs, I decided to turn down the street and visiting the lovely Camden Lock, a place where prices are not fixed and dribbling is a duty. Then I saw this Restyle type bag and inmediately asked how much for it, it was around 50 pounds (what a rip off!) but I got for 30.
Not that bad, right?
And finally, I wanted to include this creepy fake-taxidermy brooch I bought on Saturday at Enchanted. It was made by the talented Spanish designer Fidel David.
Totally loved to find this uncanny object among all the sweetness around: so yes, it had to be mine ♥
I hope you did enjoy this warming post from the next trip series.
Stay stunned, there will be much more coming.
Lovely scoops! :}
ResponderEliminarThanks, I do think they are all beautiful :)
EliminarWelcome back! I'm glad you had a safe trip and have taken lots of wonderful memories home with you as well as some fantastic finds! First of all I would like to say that Hell Bunny dress is absolutely GORGEOUS! And secondly I am totally envious of your Banned Apparel handbag! I have been wanting to get my hands on that particular bag for ages, I very nearly purchased it around my birthday but I spent my money on some Nona Limmen prints instead! Someday.. someday.. XD I hope you enjoy wearing all your beautiful finds!
ResponderEliminarThank you, dear. I always have a bad time when flying as I am a bit over-obsessed with security. I think it is due to the fact I can´t hold the control of the situation. But thankfully I had two wonderful flight, so nothing to complain about.
EliminarIn relation to the shopping itself, I didn´t know Banned Apparel until now, so it was good to get the bag on a reasonable fare. The quality is impressing, as a matter of fact. Nothing to do with the cheapy Restyle bag materials. I would totally recommend it to you :)
Wow, so nice things <3 We are planning a London-trip sometime this year :D I will definitly take a peek in the stores you've mentioned.
ResponderEliminarI hope you can make it, and please, don´t miss those shops if you visit Camden Town :)
EliminarOmg! So many pretty things! *.* That purple roses corset is amazing sweetie! I'm sure it looks great on you! And the dress!!! <3 Jealous jealous jealous!!! :D
ResponderEliminarI think the roses corset is actually my favourite piece ♥ It makes me look really beautifully shaped, which is what I love about steel boned corsets. Next time maybe London together?
EliminarI am totally in love with those corsets! And the bat dress as well, really good finds my dear :)
ResponderEliminarBats are always a good option, aren´t they? :P
Eliminarso many lovely things!! It was extremely long ago since I visited Camden market oh hell, it was 1995!! Back then Kensington market still existed and that was the coolest gothiest place ever. I got my spider tattoo there. I would love to visit London again.
ResponderEliminarI´ve been repeteadly told about Kensington market by many friends of mine, and they always say it was an amazing place. Camden was fine last time I visited, some years ago. Nevertheless, in this ocassion I noticed double the quantity of tourists and awful souvenir shops, together with less variety in the goth stock. I was wandering around in the search of some cute Demonia shoes but couldn´t find anything apart from the small size leftovers, plus they were all old models. I am a bit concern about the future of Camden as an alternative shopping pilgrimate center. I am sadly sure at sme point it will be all about tourism.
EliminarWhoah, nice finds. I especially love that hellbunny bat dress - totally gorgeous! I've never been to Camden. Seeing things like this makes me want to take a trip there one day x
ResponderEliminarYou totally should Ali! My only recommendation is not to visit on Sunday, as it is the day commonly chosen by tourists and it can be a bit claustrophobic.
EliminarIt seems you had a great time indeed. :D All the amazing things you bought! Love the bag and the dress!
ResponderEliminarIt was the best of the times, indeed. Really looking forward to repeat (if possible in the company of my boyfriend).
EliminarGreetings beautiful,
ResponderEliminarI love that Hell Bunny dress so very much, it most luck wonders on you, I wan to see it soon!
I am happy you did a nice haul there, is a place i really want to visit next year.
I am looking foward to see loads of looks with that corsets too. You always look amazing on them
Kisses
I already used the new dress, I should wait until the weathers goes warmer to do so again though. Last time I wore it with a cardigan, plus a jumper and I think it will look better with just a light bolero or with nothing covering it at all.
EliminarYou should totally visit the place next year. I am sure you wil find lots of treasures.
You certainly found some beautiful things, the bat dress is absolutely gorgeous!
ResponderEliminarBut brrr... the spider brooch! I feel sorry for all the arachnophobes you bump into! ;)
Hhahah... the funny thing is that I find myself living spiders as nasty as adorable the fake ones.
